Learning Videos
A versatile and creative medium for educational content.
There are virtually no limits to the possible uses and design formats of educational videos. You can use material from external sources, e.g. Open Educational Resources in general or parts of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) such as the Austrian MOOC platform iMooX. You can also adapt existing learning videos with the H5P tool in Moodle, or produce your own videos, e.g. in the form of course recordings via the video server uniTUBE, screen recordings (so-called screencasts) or produce videos with the own smartphone. When the content stays up to date for longer and is reused in courses, more complex content such as (animation-)videos or so-called green screen videos are also worthwhile. These can be designed and produced with the support of the Center for Digital Teaching and Learning. When creating a recording, please keep in mind the principles of digital accessibility, such as subtitles and the two-senses principle in general.
