Digital exams

The University of Graz is pursuing a variety of projects and visions in the context of digital exams. The aim is to provide our partners with a unique examination experience.

The University of Graz conducts digital exams with the examination software Perception from Learnosity. This offers the possibility to individually create, manage and organize exam questions, assessments and exam dates. Overall, the examination process is completed by the university's own developments, which, in addition to making the examination system more flexible (flExam), also include digital student check-in (check-in app) and improvements in reporting (inspection tool).

Digital exams

Thanks to the smooth progress of the test phase and the successful pilot exam with eduExaminer, the groundwork for the phased transition in 2026 has been laid. As previously announced, staff will be supported through workshops during the migration of exam questions and will receive an introduction to the new exam system.

For instructors who administer exams through flExam, the supervised transition will take place in a single phase during the summer of 2026. To ensure there are no challenges with the central administration of SOWI exams, separate dates will be offered during the period between the AFI exam weeks (February 27, 2026, to May 6, 2026).

Both exam systems will still be offered in parallel in 2026, although after the transition, instructors will continue to work exclusively in eduExaminer.
Registration for workshop dates starting in February 2026 is now open. Workshop dates will be added on an ongoing basis based on demand.
